Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Silchar observed Raksha Bandhan on 8th August , 2025 with enthusiasm and reverence. The programme was organised by the students of Class IX.
The celebration began with the chanting of three Omkaras followed by Mangalacharan. This was followed by a melodious song and an informative conversation presented by a few students, highlighting the significance of the day. A thought-provoking skit was also staged, offering a deeper understanding of the cultural and emotional essence of Raksha Bandhan.
Sujala Didi, a teacher of the Vidyalaya, addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of the auspicious occasion. She emphasised that Raksha Bandhan is a festival with deep cultural and emotional value, symbolising the bond of unity and mutual respect.
The students performed the traditional ritual of tying rakhis to one another, strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and harmony.
The programme concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra, leaving everyone with a sense of joy and togetherness.
