Sadhana Diwas Observation

 Eknath Ramkrishna Ranade popularly known as Eknath ji lived the philosophy of "One Life One Mission" and had dedicated himself to the development of the society. As a tribute to his great soul, Eknath ji's birthday is celebrated as "Sadhana Diwas" on 19th November every year. 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar had the honour to celebrate Eknath Ji's birthday for two consecutive days. All the students and teachers gathered to celebrate the day. Lamps were lit up and the teachers paid a floral tribute to Eknath Ji. Among other presentations, students of class lV performed "guru bhajan", students of class Vll paid a dance tribute while the students of class V performed a soulful song by Eknath ji. Taniya di, the Maths teacher of the Vidyalaya delivered a speech providing the glimpses of Eknath Ji's younger days in his life. Balaram da, a kendra karyakarta served as a guest for the second day. The programme ended in a peaceful note with shanti mantra.

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti Celebration

 A day as great as Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in VKV Ramnagar with great enthusiasm. Pertaining to the present scenario, only the teachers of the vidyalaya took part in the celebration while some Alumnis joined the celebration too. Lamps were lighted and flowers were offered to the portraits of both great eminents. The hymn " Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" was performed by the teachers. Anamika Singha didi (Mathematics Teacher of  Vidyalaya) and Subham Ray sir (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya)  enlightened us by their speech on both Gandhi ji and Shastri ji where the slogans "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan" and the sayings    " you must be the change you want to see in others" were uttered once again with great pride and respect.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration

 

On 11th September 2021, Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in VKV Ramnagar reminiscing Swami Vivekananda's speech in the Parliament of Religions, 1893. The programme took place in two segments for primary and secondary classes. Principal of the Vidyalaya Sri Bijan Saha and Primary In charge Smt. Lipika Roy addressed the guardians, students snd teachers respectively, stressing on the significance of the day. Flowers were offered to Swami Vivekananda's portraits by the students and their family members. Students took active part in the celebration with role playings having dressed up as Vivekananda, expressing Swamiji's thoughts, singing, dancing and displaying conversations on the importance of the day. Different competitions were held marking the day such as Essay Writing for classes IX and X, Thought Explaination for Vl, Vll, Vlll, Drawing Competition for lV and V, Swamiji's Thoughts for classes I, ll, lll. School also took the initiative to conduct various competitions viz, Thought explanation,Quiz , Drawing in nearby schools and colleges of silchar. Basana didi and Sunita didi in their speech honoured the historic speech delivered by Swamiji on 11 September, 1893 in Chicago. The programme ended in a positive note with shanti mantra.

Teachers' Day Celebration

 Teacher - a source of love and inspiration.

Teachers' Day at  VKV Ramngar, was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The day started with giving a tribute to Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan .  The Principal of the vidyalaya, Sri Bijan Saha welcomed the Guest Smt Sampa Deb Kanangoo ,who is the  Head of Bengali Department  and Incharge  principal of Sarada chandra Dey College at Kalinagar. He welcomed teaching and non teaching staff of the vidyalaya .Sir appreciated the efforts of the class X students ,who have  taken the initiative for organizing Teachers' Day in pandemic time.

The day had an emotional and recreational touch. The students did all the preparations with full  energy and excitement. There were various programmes viz, Manipuri dance, songs , sharing experiences, skit and saxophone presentation. Smt Sampa Deb didi in her speech thanked  the school for providing such a good platform to the  students. She stressed that it's the teacher, who mould and give proper shape to the students in real sense, which enables them to stand on their own feet .

It was an eventful day which was enjoyed equally by the teachers and students.

Janmasthami Celebration

 

On 30th August 2021, VKV Ramnagar celebrated Sri Krishna Janmasthami through YouTube Live Streaming. Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri Bijan Saha greeted and welcomed  all the Parents, teachers and students on this auspicious occasion. Parents actively took part in the celebration by lighting the lamps, offering flowers to Lord Krishna and singing Sri Krishna Astottara Satanam. The tiny tots of the Vidyalaya  narrated incidents from the life  of Sri Krishna. Ditipriya Chakraborty of class X performed Krishna Bhajan. Banhishikha Didi with her son Bigyasish Sinha of class X presented a segment of Sri Krishna Ras Lila. Students performed a skit narrating the ideal friendship between Sri Krishna and Sudama. Ram Sir in his speech narrated the divine deeds of Lord Krishna.The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Sanskrit Divas Observation

 VKV Ramnagar celebrated  World Sanskrit Divas  on 27.8.21 through Google-Meet . The programme started with lighting the lamp along with chanting of 'Deep jyoti mantra ' by Bibhah Saha . Principal of the  Vidyalaya, Sri Bijan Saha welcomed the Guest Speaker Dr Ranjit Kumar Tiwary ,a renowned scholar of Sanskrit and philosophy presently working as Associate professor , Department of traditional sanskrit at kumar Bhaskar Varma sanskrit and Ancient studies University at Nalbari.  Along with him he welcomed Students, Teachers and Guardians in the programme. 

Students highlighted the programme by their performances like , Saraswati Vandana Sanskrit Patriotic song , Significance of the Day,Shloka chanting with meaning , dance and Conversation. Dr. Ranjeet Kumar sir enlightened the participants with the vigorous richness of the Sanskrit language and praised platform like VKV who provide ample chance to learn the root language. Panchami Adhikari Didi proposed vote of thanks. The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

 On 22nd August 2021, VKV Ramnagar celebrated Raksha Bandhan through Google Meet for classes KG-lV. Lipika Roy Didi (Primary incharge Incharge of Vidyalaya) welcomed the teachers, students and guardians. Students from all classes performed bhajans, songs and dances. Some students also demonstrated the art of Rakhi making while others tied Rakhis to their brothers and sisters. Rosy Singha Didi (KG teacher of Vidyalaya)  delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Raksha Bandhan, a ceremony that spreads brotherhood and peace. The programme concluded in a positive note with Shanti Mantra.

Independence Day Celebration

 The Red letter day is celebrated at VKV Ramnagar in full enthusiasm. Sri Bijan Saha sir (Principal of Vidyalaya) has done the Flag Hoisting ceremony. After that the students , Teaching and Non Teaching staffs who were present maintaining social distancing, sang the National Anthem together.  Students from KG to Class X also joined in the celebration via Google Meet Link.  Principal sir addressed the students, parent members and teachers on the occasion. Students have performed Patriotic songs, dance, recitations to celebrate the occasion. Sankar Das sir (Computer Science teacher of vidyalaya) shared about many glorious moments of our country.  

Online Art Competition , Patriotic song competitions were also organized for students of different classes. Students participated in all activities in full spirit.

Guru Purnima Celebration


 On 26/07/2021, Guru Purnima was celebrated online in full spirit. Students have participated actively in the programme. Floral tribute was offered by L Sandy Singha of Class VIII. Tanisha Chakraborty of Class IX and Ipshita Das of Class III sang Guru Bhajan. Recitation was done by Saumyojit Das , Neeharika Dey and Sanchali Singha og Class VII. Debopriya Sutradhar of Class VII , Sumedha Bhattacharjee of Class VIII performed dance on Guru Bhajan beautifully. Priyanka Ghosh and Priyangshi Chakraborty performed on Guru Bhajan. Anubhav Deb paid musical tribute  with Guitar. Smt. Maujhuri Nath Mazumder (Social Science teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the occasion and explained the contribution of Guru to lead our life in the right path.

International Yoga Day celebration

On 21st June 2021, International Yoga Day was celebrated in online mode in full enthusiasm. Various programmes and competitions were organized on the occasion for the students of vidyalaya along with some other schools and colleges. Students from classes KG to X participated in the programmes in full spirit. Students along with teachers have participated in the programmes. Along with the demonstration of Yoga, Teachers spoke on the importance of Yoga and inspired students to make it a part of life with regular practices.

Bhasa Sahid Diwas observation

On 19th May 2021, Bhasa Sahid Diwas was observed in online mode. Students and Teachers have participated in the observation in full spirit. Programme started with the floral tribute to Martyrs from Class IX student Kritik Biswas and family. After that Patriotic song was sung by Aditi Dey of Class VIII. Binayak Deb of Class X spoke on the significance of the day. Recitation was done by Samadrita Paul of Class VI. Adriti Roy and Barnita Das performed patriotic dance. Smt Swarnali Dhar didi (Bengali teacher of vidyalaya) delivered speech on the auspicious occasion. Smt Ranjita Ghosh (Hindi teacher of vidyalaya) paid tribute to Martyrs through Art. The online program was coordinated by Smt Ashima Bhattacharjee ( Music teacher of vidyalaya).

Matri Pitri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh

To inculcate this value on 3rd April 2021, Matri Pitri Puja and Utsarga Samaroh was conducted for the outgoing class X students of VKV Ramnagar Silchar , at the school premises. Students worshipped their parents in a ceremonial way.  On the occasion students presented  song and shared their experiences. Dr. C. R Bhattacharjee (Professor of Chemistry Department, Assam University) was present as chief guest in the programme and he appreciated the efforts of the school to inculcate values in students while delivering speech.  Students and parents became very emotional at the end. This is one of the  unique and annual activities of VKV family. Our salute and tribute to all the parents, for their immense sacrifice and contribution in this man making and nation building task.

Vidyarambha Ceremony

  On 24th March 2021 , Vidyarambha Ceremony was organized for the students of  KG and Class I. On the occasion Sri Giridhari Mishra of Gayatri Parivar was present to conduct the Vidyarambha Ceremony.  Total 36 students along with their parents have participated in full spirit in the program.

Republic Day celebration

  

On 26th January 2021, Republic day was celebrated in full spirit. In the morning Flag Hoisting was done by respected principal Sri Bijan Saha. After that cultural program started with patriotic song presentation by students of Class VIII and IX. Patriotic dance was also performed by students of Class VIII. Smt Sonchari Adhyapak (English teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech and motivated students to work for the country.

Netaji Jayanti Observation

  

On 23rd January 2021, Netaji Jayanti was celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. Program started by offering floral tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.  Students performed patriotic song on the occasion. Smt Piyali Bhattacharjee (Social Science Teacher of Vidyalaya) inspired the students by narrating various incidents from the life of Netaji . Recitation was done by Class VII students.

National Youth Day Celebration

 On 12th January 2021, National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated at vidyalaya in full spirit in association with Kreeda Bharati  Cachar. Program started by offering floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. On the occasion, Sri Sumit Sattwan, ADC Cachar was present as chief guest. In his speech respected sir shared that all of us should ensure our growth in four dimensions of physical, mental, intellectual  spiritual aspects to contribute positively for the society to make Bharat a strong country. On the occasion, Students of Class IV and V presented Vivekgeet very nicely. Students of Class VII presented patriotic dance . Smt. Gargi Acharjee (English teacher of vidyalaya) delivered speech on the significance of the day.  Students of  Kreeda Bharati Cachar also beautifully demonstrated Yoga, Martial art, Fencing on the occasion.

Samartha Bharat Parva and Gita Jayanti observation

 On 26th December 2020, Samartha Bharat Parva and Gita Jayanti were celebrated at VKV Ramnagar Silchar. On this occasion, students of vidyalaya presented patriotic song. Gita Chanting was done by Bibhab Saha of Class VII. Ashima Bhattacharjee didi  ( Music teacher of Vidyalaya) sang a song beautifully. Sanghita Dey (English teacher of vidyalaya) spoke on the significance of Samartha Bharat Parva. Smt. Panchami Adhikari (Sanskrit teacher of vidyalaya) delivered speech on the significance of Gita Jayanti.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
