The Vedas stipulate “Mathru devo bhava, pithru devo bhava”.To nurture this culture in the students of Vidyalaya, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar Silchar conducts Matri Pitri Puja and Utsarga Samaraho every year for the students of Class X.
Matri Pitri Puja was conducted in the school premises on 9th February,2024 through which, students of Class X worshipped their parents in a ceremonial manner to get blessings to prepare themselves for the greatest cause of serving the society and the nation.
To begin the worship, students of Class X washed the feet of their parents.
Respected Principal Sir extended heartiest welcome to the sacred gathering of the guests, parents, students and teachers.
Tridib Goswami Sanskrit teacher of Vkv Badarpur, then conducted the auspicious Puja and also made the students and their parents aware of the importance of the Matri Pitri Puja.
here was Utsarga Samaraho during which students offered diyas and flowers to Bharatmata and Goddess Saraswati and took the blessings.
A few students of Class IX and Class X shared their experience.A few parents then expressed their gratitude towards school, saying that they were extremely lucky to get such school for their wards where their children could get ample opportunities to learn the values which would help them throughout their lives.The special guests, Shri Debasish Shome,a renowned advocate and Smt Sumita Shome, a renowned advocate and former teacher guided and blessed the students through their valuable words.
The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra followed by Kendra parthana.
