Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebration

 The Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ramnagar celebrated the National Youth Day to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda as well as school's annual day. Every year it is celebrated on 12th January  but this year it was observed  on 9th January. Vkv Ramnagar  wholeheartedly  celebrated the event .The esteemed  chief guest Dr. Dipendu Das Coordinator, International Collaborations Professor, Department of English Former Dean, SKC School of English and Foreign Language Studies & Former Head, Department of English, Assam University, Silchar, made the program  even more happening with his gracious presence along with the parents and guardians  of our students. The program started with Three Omkara followed by mangalacharan and the floral tribute by our respected Meera kulkarni didi, dakshin Assam pranth pramuk,our primary  incharge Lipika Roy didi,  Principal of Vkv Badarpur Sri Prashanta chakraborty sir and our respected chief guest Dr.Dipendu Das.  Lipika Roy didi  welcome everyone. The students of vidyalaya performed Vivek Geet .Dristantika sinha ,Adriti dey and Bibhab Saha, the students of our vidyalaya illustrated to the audience about the significance of the day. The program  was continued with a number of heart warming cultural performances by the students such as drama on " Bireswar Vivekananda " , Tabla lohora by senior and junior students, Manipuri dance by the students  of class IX. Sankar sir our computer teacher delivered a speech on the teachings of swami vivekananda  and the significance of national youth day.  Dr. Dipendu Das enthralled everyone with his valuable  words.In his speech he quoted  famous speech  of Swami Vivekananda as "sisters and brothers of America"  He further  explained the speech managed to eliminate the difference  between a person belonging  to different nation and religion. He finally appealed everyone to live their lives with the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Sanchari didi, the English teacher of our vidyalaya presented the annual school report highlighting the achievements made by the students in particular and the school in general throughout the session. Prizes were distributed to the students for the performance in co-curricular  activities as well as in annual sports meet.The program  concluded with Shanti mantra.

 Zonal level Gita Chanting competition was held in VKV Ramnagar, Silchar on 30 .12.22, where the students from 6 different vidyalayas participated viz., VKV Badarpur ,Borojalenga, Tumpreng, Umrangso , Ramnagar, Jirkinding.

Annual Sports Meet


VKV Ramnagar celebrated its annual sports meet from 27th December, 2022 to 29th December, 2022. Our Chief guest for the opening day was Dr. Prabin Pattanayak, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication,NIT Silchar and our guest-of-honour was Sri Niharendu Dhar, Deputy Registrar, NIT Silchar.

On the opening day, our programme started with a Mangalacharan along with lighting the lamp by our guests accompanied by Principal Sir, Sri Bijan Saha and Bimalendu Roy Sir. Welcome speech for the day was given by our Principal Sir followed by welcome song sung by some selected students. Our guest Dr. Prabin Pattanayak hoisted the sports flag and that was followed by the march past done by our four groups. The leaders of the the houses took the oath and lighted the sports torch. Next, our chief guest delivered his speech and declared the opening of the sports meet.

The opening day had some programmes performed by our students. First, we had action dance, performed by the KG students followed by mass PT, Surya Namaskar followed by another action dance

Girls of Classes V,VI and VII performed Saree drill followed by human pyramid of boys of Class VI and VII. The opening ceremony was concluded with martial art demonstration by some selected students.

Samartha Bharat Parva Observation

Samarth Bharat Parva is the celebration of strength of India, observed from 25th December- the first day of Swami Vivekananda's meditation on Rock in 1892- to 12th January Swami Vivekananda's birth anniversary. In our school V.K.V Ramnagar silchar we observed Samarth Bharat Parva on 26th December 2022. The program started with Mangalacharan, followed by a floral tribute to Bharat Mata & Swami Vivekananda's photo by our Principal sir and our guest Sri Siddheshwar Mishra. Welcome speech was given by Sanchari Adhyapak didi (Senior English Teacher of Vidyalaya) and highlighted the point why we celebrate Samartha Bharat Parva. Sri Siddheshwar Mishra Dist. and session judge court supervisor was present as guest. He talked about Samarth Bharat Parva, how Swami Vivekananda is related to it how he address his country to the outer world, how foreign countries are influenced by our Bharatiya culture they like it and they are incorporating it in their lives. He motivated students to work for the society. 
 On 6th January 2023 Dr. Munni Deb Mazumder, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Janata College, Kabuganj motivated the students on Richness of Indian culture and heritage. She stressed on the soul of cultural heritage of India lies in the fact that it’s an all embracing confluence of religions, traditions, customs and beliefs.
 On 7 th January,2023 Aparjita shee lawayer of Silchar court was present as guest she too explained students about their rights and how they can use them judiciously. Motivational video was shown to students on the value of hard work. The program was concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
