Axom Divas , 2023

 

On December 2, Asom Divas was celebrated in vkv Ramnagar, Silchar, in remembrance of the arrival of Chaolung Sukapha, the founder and first King of the Ahom kingdom. Programme started with mangalacharan.Teachers placed flowers next to Chaulung Sukaphaha's portrait.The opening act was a stunning dance, performed by the students.Children discussed the significance of the day through discourse, and a fantastic skit was presented.In his enlightening speech, our vidyalaya's computer teacher, Sri Biswajit Deb, emphasised that Sukaphaa is regarded by his people as a strong, courageous, and audacious leader who was instrumental in uniting Assam's many indigenous ethnic groupings.

An exhibition on waste materials was held house wise where students created unique creations out of waste resources..Respected Meera Kulkarni Didi, All India prashikshan  pramuk,inspired the students to keep up their fine work .Her presence in  both the programme and the exhibition made it graceful.

Lachit Divas🙏🙏

 



On November 24, 2023, Lachit Divas was commemorated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ramnagar, Silchar .To commemorate the great Ahom army General Lachit Borphukan. Students from class VII  organised the entire event. The programme began with Mangalacharan, followed by a floral tribute at Veer Lachit's image. To convey the significance of the day, a talk was held. Students put on a fantastic patriotic song and dance performance. Piyali didi, the vidyalaya's social science teacher, delivered a lecture that enlightened everyone on Lachit Borphukan's principles. Students put on an engaging skit about the Battle of Saraighat war. PowerPoint was presented about Lachit's life.The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra.

Sadhana Divas🏵️

 

On November 20, 2023, VKV Ramnagar commemorated the birth anniversary of Eknathji Ranade (Sadhana Divas).

The program started with   Mangalacharan, some of our Vidyalaya's Teachers and students presented a floral tribute to the portrait of Eknath ji. In addition to  leading a group song , students of eighth grade discussed the meaning of the day through a conversation.

A dance performance and  a film about the building of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the related efforts of Eknath ji were also included in the observation for the students.

 Basana Dey didi, English teacher of the vidyalaya, skillfully recounted a few events from Eknathji's early years to help the students understand the value of rising early and maintaining order.She exhorted everyone to lead a focused and disciplined life.The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Gandhi Jayanti & Shastri Jayanti

 


Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Silchar has celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti today with great enthusiasm.The day is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of two great personalities -Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

The program has been started with Mangalacharan followed by floral tribute.A few students from Class VIII have initiated a conversation on the significance of the day.A heart touching song 'Vaishnava Jana To, Tene Kahiye Je' has been sung by some students.A few students from Class VI have presented a few famous slogans of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.A teacher of our Vidyalaya, Sanchari Adhyapak didi,has spoken a few words on the significance of the day.Didi shared a few incidents from the life of  Lal Bahadur Shastri and advised the children to strive in such a way that their parents can be known by their name.Didi also shared the incident when Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri praised Mananiya Eknathji for collecting  the signature of 323 MPs for the construction of the ' *Rock Memorial* '.Didi has given the reference of Mahatma Gandhi 's practice of ' *Cleanliness'* and advised the students to not only keep their surroundings but also give emphasis on the cleanliness of their inner self.

There has been a beautiful recitation, Story telling,& group dance performed by the students of different classes. *Puppet Show* Competition has been conducted on the stories of *Ramayana* for the students of Class IX &  X.The end of the program has been marked with Shanti Mantra.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY

 

On September 11, 2023, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya commemorated  "Universal  Brotherhood Day" .
Mangalacharan was the catalyst  for the programme,  followed by  lightening the Pradeep by  Debasish Chakraborty Sir( Today's  chief guest) and Lipika Roy didi. Gargi didi, a senior teacher of the vidyalaya welcomed everyone .Our school 's students illuminated the programme with a dance ,a  small skit and Vivek Geet.
In the saffron outfit of Swami ji, a group of students presented various thoughts  of Swami Vivekananda.
Students from Class VII had  a discussion about the day's significance.
Famous historic lines from the Speech delivered  by Swami Vivekananda at Chicago were recited by two pupils from class V and VIII. It was quite captivating.
Sri. Debasish Chakraborty, a journalist and social activist,who  is our chief guest has been  associated with Ramkrishna Mission since 1999.With his insightful and motivating words he enthralled everyone.Aditionally we awarded prizes to students who took part in various co curricular competitions held in this session. In both the shifts Ram sir and Nibedita didi enlightened everyone with their motivating speech.
Various competitions like Story telling and collage making competitions were also  held .The programme concluded with Shanti mantra.


In order to spread  the message of Truth, Tolerance  and Peace we celebrated 'Universal Brotherhood Day' with our two nearby schools, M.B. Tarapur and  Y.S. Memorial.

Teachers' Day Celebration, 2023


 

On September 5, 2023, Teachers' Day was fervently honoured at VKV, Ramnagar. The primary in-charge, Lipika Didi, presented a welcome speech. Srimati  Shipra Rani Deb, the assistant headmistress of Biplabi Ullaskar School in Meherpur was the chief guest. The "Guru Strothram" was sung by the students, and they also paid floral homage to Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan's portrait  and to all of the school's teachers. The two students' conversation served to emphasise the importance of the day. The school's mathematics teacher, Anamika Didi, gave a speech during which she emphasised the Gurukula system of teaching. In addition, the students planned a number of cultural activities along with power point on teachers.Students of class X discussed what it was like to attend class on the significant day.

Shipra Rani didi spoke about the impact of teachers on Students' lives.The program concluded with Shanti mantra.

SANSKRIT SAPTAH, 2023

 


Sanskrit Saptah was observed in VKV Ramnagar from August 28th to September 2nd, 2023. Throughout the week, the students competed in a variety of activities such as Gita Slokas, Sanskrit Song, Sanskrit Greetings, Assembly in Sanskrit for a week, Quiz, and so on.

On September 2, 2023, Dr. Sandhani Nath, Assistant Professor of Sanskrit at G.C.College, was invited as a guest to the Samapan Satra. 

Prodip Projjwalon  kicked off the program. Principal  ,Sri Bijan Saha welcome everyone.

 Students performed Geeta Chanting, and the significance of the day was emphasized through dialogue followed by a dance performance.

Along with a lovely anecdote, Dr. Shandhani Nath didi also gave some insightful remarks, regarding our root language.

An expression of gratitude was suggested by Panchami Adhikari didi Teacher of Sanskrit.

The programme ended with the Shanti mantra.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration

 



Raksha Bandhan, a special festival commemorating the moral bond of love, unity, and harmony, was held on August 30, 2023, at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Ramnagar, Silchar. 
The entire event was arranged by students from Class VIII A.The show began with Mangalacharan. A conversation was held to convey the significance of the day.Students performed wonderful Rakhi-themed songs and dances. The vidyalaya's Hindi teacher, Chanda Thapa Didi, enlightened everyone with her speech. Students performed an interesting skit about the history of Raksha Bandhan.After tying Rakhi in class, we students visited  surrounding places and offices to tie rakhi and disseminate the message of Brotherhood.

Personality Development Camp,2023

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Silchar organised a Five Day Personality Development Camp in the school premises for the students of Class VI.

It aimed in strengthening the students physically , mentally,emotionally and spiritually,enhancing their self esteem and thus bringing all round development in their personality.

The camp began on 7th August and continued till 11th August and ended with Samapan Satra on 12th August,2023.

Chanting of mantras, Yogabhyas,Boudhik Satra, Manthan,Workshop on various activities and Sanskar Varga were the prominent aspects of this camp that were designed for the all round development of a child.

Each day of this camp began with the chanting of 3 Omkaras followed by Shanti Path and Aikyamantra.

In Yogabhyas,the students were given practice on various loosening exercises,Surya Namaskar,Asanas, Pranayam and meditation.

In Boudhik Satra, students were imparted knowledge on Mananiya Eknathji and his remarkable capabilities and the Vivekananda Rock Memorial on the first day,Srimanta Sankardev and his incredible contribution towards the reconstruction of the Assamese culture on the second day, different aspects of the personality development on the third day,Sanskar Varga and its importance on the fourth day and Bharatiya Sanskriti-significance of various practices in Indian Culture on the fifth day.

Boudhik Satra was followed by Manthan.In this, students had group discussion on the topic explained in Boudhik Satra and presented the same.

Workshop was conducted on each day in which students came to know more about leadership qualities,how to conduct Sanskar Varga,how to prepare and present skit, making things from waste materials and clay modelling.

Each day of the camp ended with Sanskar Varga in which students practised geet,played games, and listened to motivational stories.

Kendra Prarthana marked the end of each day of the camp.

The camp ended with Samapan Satra on 12th August,2023.In Samapan Satra,students chanted a few slokas from Gita, respected Principal Sir spoke a few words on the necessity and objectives to conduct such camps ,report on the camp was presented, students presented a beautiful skit on the topic "Unity Is Strength" , students shared their experience, and the respected Chief Guest,  Smt. Monisha Das Gupta,Principal of Biplabi Ullaskar Vidya Mandir         enlightened the students by her motivational words.

The camp was successfully conducted and could bring a good amount of changes in the students.

77th Independence Day Celebration 🇮🇳🇮🇳


 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Ramnagar, Silchar celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great enthusiasm.
The celebration started with the hoisting of Flag and patriotic song sung by the students and teachers of the school.

The cultural program started with three Omkaras followed by Mangalacharan.The respected Principal Sir spoke a few words on the significance of the day.He said that the need of the hour is to live purposefully for the nation.Every action of an individual should solely dedicated for the welfare of the nation.

The students of Vidyalaya performed a beautiful dance on a patriotic song.Conversation on the significance of the day was initiated by a few students.A beautiful Manipuri dance was performed.A teacher of Vidyalaya,Gargi didi spoke a few words and reminded the students of those martyrs who once sacrificed their lives for India's independence.She also tried to make the students understand that they should always remember those sacrifices and pay homage to those martyrs by their good deeds.A patriotic song was then sung by a few students.The program ended with Shanti Mantra.

VKV Ramnagar observed Guru Purnima on July 3, 2023. The event was organised by Class IX students.
The principal of the vidyalaya, Sri Bijan Saha, lit the lamp to begin the program.
Following a group dance, the significance of the day was imparted through a conversation presentation. They also performed a skit about Swami Ji's life to emphasise the importance of Guru in our lives. A lovely power point presentation on Guru Purnima is shown, followed by a speech by Kathamita Didi, our vidyalaya's IT teacher, in which she emphasises the importance of the Guru in everyone's life. Students performed a rendition of Guru Bhajan. The programme ended with the Shanti mantra.

VISIT TO FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA,( SILCHAR)

  On 21st June,2023  students from class X visited Food Corporation of India at  Ramnagar Silchar. Manager Depot Sri Sravan kumar Shaw led the students to the godown and spoke to them about buffer stock.  They  demonstrate how the grains are distributed to the general public after being collected from farmers. They shared different parameters they use for buying  grains. Smt Amulya K.N Assistant General Manager Quality Control &  Manager Sri Biswajit Debnath sir was present to answer students' questions about Grain preservation and storage and showed them different machines to determine good quality of grains .

BHASA SAHID DIVAS- 19/05/2023

 On May 19, VKV Ramnagar Silchar observed Bhasha Shahid Diwas in true spirit.



Bangla patriotic song, recitation, patriotic dance, significance of the day were the highlight of the programme and the special attraction was the  animated video in which it depicted how 11 youths sacrificed their lives to protect the right to practise their mother tongue, Bangla.The movement was in opposition to a decree issued by the previous Assam administration designating Assamese as the "sole official language of the state.Teachers from both shifts smt. Raznee Roy  Didi and smt. Swarnali Dhar  Didi delivered their speeches on the occurrence of the event.Programme concluded with Shanti mantra.

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
