Sadhana Diwas Observation

 On 19th November 2020, Birth anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade, Founder of Vivekananda  Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was observed as "Sadhana Diwas" in full spirit. Program started by offering floral tribute. On this occasion, Smt Basana Dey (English teacher of Vidyalaya) narrated various incidents from the life of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade. Smt. Sangeeta Choudhury didi sang a song.  Video on the life and incidents of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade was shown to all. Program concluded with shanti mantra.

Shastri Jayanti and Gandhi Jayanti Online Celebration

  On 2nd October 2020, Shastri Jayanti and Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated Online via Google meet by the students of VKV Ramnagar in full spirit. Various programs were conducted on the occasion. Smt. Ananya Bhattcharjee (Faculty of History Department, Radhamadhav College) was present as Chief guest. Patriotic song was presented by Samraggi Das of class VI. One group song was presented by Umiya Mazarbhuiya of Class IV and Jenifa Mazarbhuiya of Class I. Anwesha Dey and P. Rittika Singha of class IX spoke on the significance of the day. Recitation was done by Mahima Koiri and Tirthankar Chakraborty of Class II and Arkajyoti Nath of Class V. Patriotic dance was performed by Debangshi Chakraborty of Class IV.  Smt Maujhuri Nath Mazumder (Social Science teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the occasion. Flower making demonstration was done by Barnali Singha and Debita Singha of class VIII and Creative thing by Kritik Biswas of Class VIII. Smt Ananya Bhattacharjee didi delivered speech on the significance of the day and inspired all to work for the society.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration


Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated Online at VKV Ramnagar via Google meet . Various programs were conducted on 10th September for the students of KG to IV and on 14th September for the students of V to X. Sri Amarendra Chakraborty (Renowned Vocalist of Barak valley) and Smt Durba Deb (Assiatant Professor of Bengali department, Assam University) were present as Chief guests on the occasion.  Ipsita Das from class IV and Kaushiki Bhattacharjee from Class VI sang Vivek geet very nicely. Leimba Lembi  from Class III and Rittika Acharjee from Class IX performed  patriotic  dance. Swmai Vivekananda's Childhood story was narrated by Hridhiman Chakraborty from  Class III . Patriotic song tune in Synthesizer  was played by Swapnil Goswami of Class VII. Smt Madhumita Paul (Bengali Teacher of Vidyalaya) and Smt Mamoni Das (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya) narrated inspiring stories from the childhood of Swami Vivekananda. Sri Amarendra Chakraborty and Smt Durba Deb  motivated the students to work for society by sharing different incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Independence Day Celebration 2020

 The Red letter day is celebrated at VKV Ramnagar today morning. Sri Bijan Saha sir (Principal of Vidyalaya) has done the Flag Hoisting ceremony. After that the Teaching and Non Teaching staffs who were present maintaining social distancing, sang the National Anthem together. Students from KG to Class X also joined in the celebration via Google Meet Link.  Principal sir addressed the students, parent members and teachers on the occasion.  

Online Art Competition , Pledge Explanation competitions were also organized for students of different classes. Students participated in in all activities in full spirit.

Vidyarambha Puja


On 11th March 2020, Vidyarambha Puja for KG students was conducted at VKV Ramnagar. Students along with their parents participated in the puja. In the morning Worshipping of the Goddess Saraswati was done by the priest present there. Students wrote "Om" to start their writing. Puja concluded with prasad distribution.

Matri- Pitri Puja observation


On 2nd February 2020, Matri- Pitri Puja was conducted in vidyalaya for the Parents of the Class X students. Students of Class X came to school in morning with their parents.  Ceremony started first with the feet washing of the parents by their children. Then Puja was conducted by Sri Santosh Dubey (Sanskrit Teacher of VKV Umrangshu). Sri Bimal Chandra Mazumdar (Retired Officer of  ONGC) and Smt Tinku Mazumdar (Renowned Advocate of Silchar) were present as Guests on the occasion. Parents shared that in today's time these rituals are very important and thanked the vidyalaya authority for conducting this programme.

Republic Day Celebration

On 26th January 2020, Republic Day was celebrated in Vidyalaya.  In the morning Flag hoisting was done first by the Principal Sri Bijan Saha. Then cultural programme started with the Patriotic Song by the students. On the occasion Sri Samarendra Nath ( Retired Officer of Indian Navy) was present as Chief guest. Abantika Singa and Neeraja Singha of Class VIII spoke on the significance of the day. Patriotic Dance was presented by Class V and VI students. Partiotic song was presented by Class IV and V students also. One cultural Show on "Unity in Diversity" was presented by the students of Class II and III. Programme concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Annual Day celebration

 
On 10th January 2020, Annual Day of the Vidyalaya and Swamiji Jayanti  was celebrated in full spirit. Many programs were organized on the occasion.  Smt Krishna Bhattacharjee (Vibhag Bauddhik Pramukh) of RSS was present as guest.  Junior students presented Vivek Geet. Recitation was done by Class V students. One drama on the story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial was presented very beautifully by the students. Dance performance was done by the senior and junior group students beautifully.
Best Houses and Best Class trophies were also given on the day.  Parents were also present in the programme.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
