International Yoga Day



On 21st June 2019, International Yoga Day was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion from 7.30am to 8.30 am Yoga Practice was done. Along with students parents also participated in the program. Respected Rekha Davey (All India Joint General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari)  Respected Meera Kulkarni (Prant Sanghatak of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari ,Assam Prant ) were also present in this program. Respected Rekha didi delivered speech on the importance of Yoga in our life and motivated to practice yoga daily.
Housewise Yogasana competition was also conducted on the occasion.
Programs were also organized in two schools namely Y. S Memorial School and Tarapur Girls’ High School. Teachers of Vidyalaya along with a group of students went there and Yoga and Suryanamaskar practice was conducted.

Personality Development Camp


From 28th May 2019 to 1st June 2019, five days Personality Development Camp was organized at VKV Ramnagar, Silchar. Camp was organized for the Five Fold Development of the students in Physical, Mental, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual Level. On the occasion Sri Niharendu Dhar (Assistant Registrar of Assam University) , Dr Partho Pratim Paul (Professor of Law Department, Assam University), Sri N. Teja (Central Government Employee), Sri Subrata Das ( Teacher and Sangha Karyakarta) , Sri Abhijit Paul (Teacher of Dorgakona Bazar L.P School) were present in different days on the camp and motivated the students with their speech. In this camp students performed all the activities in group to develop the team spirit in them. Students from Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar School and Y. S Memorial School also participated actively in the camp.

Bhasa Sahid Diwas observation


On 19th May 2019, Bhasa Sahid Diwas was observed in Vidyalaya. Students of Class IX presented song on the occasion. Recitation was done by Class VI students. Smt Swarnali Dhar (Bengali Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the significance of the day. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Rabindra Jayanti Observation



On 9th May 2019, Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated in Vidyalaya. Various programs were organized on the occasion. Students presented Rabindra Nritya, Rabindra Sangeet, Recitation on the poems of Rabindranath Tagore , Drama on the story “Juto Abhyaskar.  Smt Mamoni Das didi spoke on the contribution of Rabindranath Tagore in the field of Literature.  Smt Durba Deb (Professor of Assam University) was present as guest in this program. She narrated different incidents from the life of Rabindranath Tagore.
Housewise Song , Dance and Recitation competitions were also organized on the occasion.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
