Annual Sports Celebration

 On 27th December 2019, Annual Sports week inaugurated in full spirit with cultural programme. On the occasion Dr Himadrim Sekhar Das (Associate Professor of Physics department, Assam University), Dr. P. K Singha (Principal of Radhamadhav college, Silchar) was present as guests. Students presented Patriotic Song and Dance on the occasion. Demonstration of Yoga and Martial Art were presented by students. MPT was performed by  Class III students. Guests expressed their happiness to be part of the disciplined programme and motivated the students to participate in full spirit. House-wise March Past was conducted by the students. In different events parents also participated to make the programme successful.

Samartha Bharat Parva Observation


 Samartha Bharat Parva observation started on 26th December 2019 at VKV Ramnagar.  Students of Class IX presented Vivek geet on the occasion. Recitation was done by Class IV students. Biswaroop Bhattacharjee of Class X spoke on the significance of the day. Conversation was presented by students of Class IX. Smt Maujhuri Nath Mazumdar (Social Science Teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the occasion. Sri Somesh Biswas (Retired Programmer of LIC and President of Bharatiya Magdoor Sangha and Samparka Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Silchar Nagar) was present as guest. He narrated the story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and motivated students to work for the society. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Geeta Jayanti Observation


On 9th December 2019, Gita Jayanti was observaed in Vidyalaya. Students of Class IX presented Krishna Bhajan. Shivam Nath of Class VIII delivered the significance of the day. Gita Slokas were chanted by selected students. Smt Mamoni Das (Hindi teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the significance of the day. She narrated different incidents of Kurukshetra and motivated students to walk on the path of Dharma. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

On 2nd December 2019, Asom Divas was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion , students from Class VIII presented patriotic song. Recitation was presented  by Class IV students of  vidyalaya. Adrita Dev of Class VII spoke on the significance of the day. One conversation was presented by Class VII students. Sri Subham Ray (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the life and working of Su-Ka-Fa on the auspicious occasion. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Lachit Diwas Observation


 On 25th November 2019 , Lachit Diwas was observed at Vidyalaya. Students presented patriotic song on the occasion. Anushka Mohanta of Class VIII Spoke on the significance of the day. Recitation was done by Class IV students. Conversation was presented by students of Class VIII. Smt Nili Nath (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the contribution of Lachit for the country and motivated the students.

Sadhana Diwas Observation



On 19th November 2019 Birth  Anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade (Founder of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari) was observed as  Sadhana Diwas in Vidyalaya. Students presented song on Mananeeya Eknathji. Recitation was done by the students of Class IV and V. Rohit Chakraborty of Class IX spoke on the significance of the day. Smt Kathamrita Bhattacharjee (Computer Science teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the life and works of Mananeeya Eknathji and motivated students to work for country.

Childrens' Day Observation



On 14th November 2019, Childrens' Day was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion , students from Class IV presented song. Recitation was presented  by students of Class IV.  Saumyojit Nath of Class V spoke on the significance of the day. Smt. Taniya Deb (Mathamatics Teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech on the occasion.  On this special day for children, one drama was presented by the teachers of vidyalaya.

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti Celebration

 
2nd October 2019, Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in Vidyalaya. Various programs were organized in full spirit. Dr Konkona Das (Department of Zoology, Norshing Higher Secondary School) was present as Chief Guest.  Students of Class IV presented Patriotic song. Patriotic Dance was presented by Class VII students. Recitation was done by Class IV students. Students of Class VIII performed conversation from the life incidents of Mahatma Gandhi. Smt Nilanjana Purokayastha (Librarian of Vidyalaya) and Raveena Hojai (Subject Teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speeches on Shastri Jayanti and Gandhi Jayanti. On the eve of Durga Puja Festival one skit on Maa Durga namely "Mahisasur Mardini"was presented beautifully by the students of vidyalaya.
Prizes were also distributed among students for some recent competitions.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration


On 11th September 2019, Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in Vidyalaya. Many programs were organized for the occasion. Students of Class V presented Vivek Geet. Chicago Speech was delivered by P. Rittika Singha of Class VIII. Students also presented dance on Vivek geet. Drama on the Childhood of Swami Vivekananda was also performed. Dr. Pintu Saha ( Assistant Professor of Performing Arts Department) was present as Chief Guest. He narrated diffrent incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda and motivated all to serve the people of our country.

Shankardev Tithi Observation




On 2nd September 2019, Shankardev Tithi was observed at Vidyalaya. Students presented Borgeet on the occasion. Recitation was done by Ananya Chutia of Class V. Conversation was presented by Class VII students. Satriya Dance was also very nicely performed by the students of Class VIII.

Janmasthami Celebration



On 24th August 2019, Janmasthami is celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. Different programs were conducted on the occasion. Students of Music class presented Krishna Bhajan very nicely. Dance on Lord Krishna was presented by selected students. Drama on the childhood of Lord Krishna was presented by Class V students. Student of Class IV Bahnisikha Acharjee spoke on the significance of the day. Smt Anusua Mazumder (renowned Vocalist of the region) was present as Chief Guest along with Smt Jaya Bhawal.  
Different Housewise competitions on Krishna Bhajan and Story telling on the "Childhood of Lord Krishna" were also conducted on the occasion.
Parents also participated in Homemade Food item presentation and Art and Craft competition.

Kishori Vikash Shibir


On 21st August 2019, Kishori Vikash Shibir was organised at VKV Ramnagar. Female students from Class VI to X participated in the Shibir. Dr. Monika Deb (Renowned Gynocologyst) was present as the Resource person along with Smt Reboti Devi (Joint Secretary of VKSPV). Dr. Monika Dey didi spoke on the Health and Hygeine to be maintained by the students. Smt Reboti Devi didi took the session on the Yoga. Myakhi Gyan and Prachi Deb (Sevika from RSS) showed students some tricks for the self defence in any unwanted situtation. The program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Independence day and Raksha Bandhan Celebration


On 15th August 2019, Independence day and Raksha Bandhan were celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. In the morning , Flag Hoisting was done in presence of Smt Gauri Dutta Biswas (Teacher of Government Girls’ school) and Sri Sanjeeb Bhawol (Businessman). After that students participated in the Cultural Program. Patriotic song was presented by Music students. KG students performed a dance beautifully. Class VII students presented a conversation on Raksha Bandhan. Patriotic Dance was presented by Dance students. Smt Gauri Dutta Biswas blessed the students with her golden words. 
On the occasion “Go as you like as freedom Fighter” and Patriotic dance competitions were also conducted. Parents were also present in the program.  Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Guru Purnima Observation


 On 8th August 2019, Guru Purnima was observed at Vidyalaya. On the occasion , students of Class IV presented Guru Bhajan very nicely. Baijayanti Bhattacharjee of Class VIII spoke on the significance of the day. Smt. Sanghita Bhattacharjee didi (English Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the importance of Guru in our life and the guidance we get to walk forward.  
On the occasion, Guru Bhajan competition and Swami Vivekananda's quote competition was also conducted. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

International Yoga Day



On 21st June 2019, International Yoga Day was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion from 7.30am to 8.30 am Yoga Practice was done. Along with students parents also participated in the program. Respected Rekha Davey (All India Joint General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari)  Respected Meera Kulkarni (Prant Sanghatak of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari ,Assam Prant ) were also present in this program. Respected Rekha didi delivered speech on the importance of Yoga in our life and motivated to practice yoga daily.
Housewise Yogasana competition was also conducted on the occasion.
Programs were also organized in two schools namely Y. S Memorial School and Tarapur Girls’ High School. Teachers of Vidyalaya along with a group of students went there and Yoga and Suryanamaskar practice was conducted.

Personality Development Camp


From 28th May 2019 to 1st June 2019, five days Personality Development Camp was organized at VKV Ramnagar, Silchar. Camp was organized for the Five Fold Development of the students in Physical, Mental, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual Level. On the occasion Sri Niharendu Dhar (Assistant Registrar of Assam University) , Dr Partho Pratim Paul (Professor of Law Department, Assam University), Sri N. Teja (Central Government Employee), Sri Subrata Das ( Teacher and Sangha Karyakarta) , Sri Abhijit Paul (Teacher of Dorgakona Bazar L.P School) were present in different days on the camp and motivated the students with their speech. In this camp students performed all the activities in group to develop the team spirit in them. Students from Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar School and Y. S Memorial School also participated actively in the camp.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
