Disaster Management Programme


     On 4th October 2018, Disaster Management Programme was conducted by the NDRF Team in Vidyalaya. On the occasioon along with members of  NDRF team , Sujata Dutta (Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Silchar), Ataul Rahman Laskar (Secretary, global NGO, Ramnagar) , Sri Ramakant Singha (Leader of SDRF), Bro. Reggy (Director of Don Bosco School, Silchar) were present. Brother Reggy addressed the students. Smt sujata Dutta didi also addressed the students and motivated to work for the society. The NDRF team explained and demonstrated different activities which are to be followed in any disaster timing.

Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti Celebration


On 2nd October 2018, Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in vidyalaya. On the occasion many guests were present namely Sri Ashish Haldar (Deputy Advisor of  VDO, Silchar) , Sri Subhrangshu Sekhar Bhattacharjee (President of Keshab Smarak Surabhi , Silchar),  Ataur Rahman Laskar (General Secretary of Global services), Sahanul Ahmed Raj Barbhuiya (Circle officer , VDO, Silchar) Dulan Chakraborty ( District Legal Services Authority). Different programs were conducted like Patriotic Song by students of Class VII and V. Recitation was there by Class IV and V students. Patriotic Dance was presented by Class VI and VII students. Students of Class VII namely Priyangshu Paul and Abantika Singha sopke on the significance of the day. Smt Preeti Singha (Mathematics teacher of Vidyalaya) and Sri Subham Ray (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the occasion.
Prize distribution ceremony of the competitions were also conducted for the students. Parents were also present to receieve  the prizes of all the competitions conducted for parents in Janmasthami.

Ganesh Chaturthi Observation


On 12th September 2018, Ganesh Chaturthi was observed in vidyalaya in full spirit. Students presented Ganesh Bhajan. Mitsna Singha and Kavita Dey spoke on the significance of the day. Pawan Chetri Sir of Vidyalaya delivered speech on the occasion and narrated different incidents from the life of Lord Ganesha. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Universal Brotherhood Day and Shankardev Tithi Celebration

 
On 11th September 2018, Universal Brotherhood Day and Shankardev Tithi were celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. On the occasion Dr. Shamita Bhattacharjee (Lecturer of Private college) was present as Chief Guest. She spoke on the contribution of Swami Vivekananda for motherland. Many Programs were there including Speech, Vivek geet, Assemese song, Satriya dance etc. Many competitions were also organised like Vivek geet competitions for Class IX and X, Chicago Speech competition for Class VI and VII, Significance Telling for Class VIII and Story Telling competitions on the life of Swami Vivekananda. Students participated in enthusiastic way.

Janmasthami Celebration



  On 3rd September 2018, Janmasthami was celebrated in vidyalaya in full spirit. Many programs were organized on the occasion. Students of Class IX presented song on the occasion. Drama was presented by Class VI and VII students. Dance Drama on Lord Krishna was presented by students.
Ayushi Roy and Sonia Bhattacharjee spoke on the significance of the day. Dr. Manabendra Choudhury (Professor of Life Science department of Assam University) and Sri Niharendu Dhar (Assistant Registrar of Assam University) were present as guests. Dr Manabendra Bhattacharjee narrated different incidents from life of Swami Vivekananda and motivated students.
   For parents different competitions were organized like Art and Craft display and Homemade Food Items display for mothers. For fathers Pot Breaking competition was conducted. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

On 31st August 2018, Madhavdev Tithi was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion many programs were organised. Students of class X presented Assamese song on the occasion. Pujanjali Dasgupta of Class IX spoke on the significance of the day. Smt Diksha Nath, English Teacher of Vidyalaya spoke on Madhavdev and his contribution in the field of Literature, Poem, Songs etc. program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Mananeeya Eknathji Punya Tithi


On 23dr August 2018, Mananeeya Eknathji Punya tithi was observed in vidyalaya. on the occasion, many programs were organized. Students of Class X presented song. Students also demonstrated Yoga and Martial Art. Smt Anamika Singha Didi (English Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the life and work of Ma Eknathji Ranade. She motivated the students with different stories from the life of Ma. Eknathji Ranade. Program concluded with shanti path.

Independence day Celebration


On 15th August 2018, Independence Day  was  celebrated  in Vidyalaya in full spirit. In the morning Flag Hoisting was done with the Band Troop.  After  Flag Hoisting cultural program was organized with different events. Music students of Vidyalaya  presented  patriotic song.  Anuva Nath of Class VIII and  Satakshi Bhattacharjee  of Class IV spoke on the significance of  the day. Petriotic Dance was also presented by the students. Students of vidyalaya also demonstrated Martial Art on the occasion.
Housewise different competitions like  Petriotic Song competition,  Petriotic Dance Competition and Go as you like in the theme of Freedom Fighters  were also organized on the occasion. Parents have  also attended the program.  Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

On 9th July 2018, Samvardhana was organized for the students of 6th Batch of Class X who have done good result in Board examination. On the occasion Chief Guests were Professor Niranjan Roy (Dean of Economics & Commerce department of Assam University) and  Smt Attri Deshmukh (HOD of Physics Department of Assam University) along with Academic Support Group Smt Sunita Ghosh Deb (Former Principal of Moinul Haque School) , Smt Mukta Paul (Former Principal of Adharchand School), Sri Dhiren Singha (Principal of Udharband School). Sri Bijon Saha sir(Principal of VKV Ramnagar) welcomed everyone. A song was presented by Class IX students. Students then shared their experience, how they prepared for their exams. Guardians also shared their experience and thanked the institution and the teachers for their help and support. Guests also enlightened everyone with their golden words  and asked to learn to win jealousy and evil. They also quoted some of Swami Vivekananda's beautiful lines to motivate the students. The program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

     On 4th July 2018, Swami Vivekananda Punya Tithi was observed in Vidyalaya. Students of Class V presented Vivek Geet on the occasion. Smt Manali Singha Didi (English Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the life and learning of Swami Vivekananda and motivated the students to work for the society. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

International Yoga Day observation


On 21st June 2018 International Yoga Day is celebrated in Vidyalaya in the morning from 6.30 Am to 7.30 AM. Students Practice Breathing exercises, Surya Namaskar, Aasana, Pranayam etc. Computer Science Teacher of Vidyalaya Kathamrita Bhattacharjee spoke about the Importance of Yoga and motivated the students  for regular practices. Parents were also invited and they also practice Yoga along with the students. Program concluded with Shanti path.

World Environment Day Observation


  On 5th June 2018, World   Environment Day was observed in Vidyalaya. Different Programs were there  on the occasion. Students of Class VI presented a song.  Anuva  Nath of Class VIII spoke on the significance of the day. Science teacher of Vidyalaya Sri Sanjay Dey delivered a speech on the occasion. Video was shown to the students to understand  the importance of the day.

Vyaktitva Vikash Shibir


    From 29th May to 2nd June 2018 , five days Vyaktitva Vikash Shibir was conducted in Vidyalaya for Class VI students for  the overall development of the students.  In these days everyday morning Yoga practice was there.  To deliver speech on different topics like Swami Vivekananda, Bharatmata, Sister Nivedita guests were invited everyday namely Dr Ratan Deb sir (Assistant Professor of Commerse Department, Cachar college), Smt Meghomala Mohanto (Professor of Nehru College) , Sri Pulok Bhattacharjee ( Advocate), . Different interaction sessions were also there on topics like Leadership, Communication etc. Geet Mantra practice session was also there along with games sessions. 
On the last day in Valedictory program Sri Niharendu Dhar (Assistant Registrar of Assam University) and  Smt Joya Deb (Principal Of South Point School) were present to motivate the students. Parents were also invited. Students presented songs and Yoga Demonstration was also there. They shared their experiences and learning of the five days camp. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Bhasa Sahid Diwas Observation


 On 19th May 2018 , Bhasa Sahid Diwas was observed in Vidyalaya. Principal sir of Vidyalaya Sri Shasanka Roy offered flowers to Sahids and eleven lamp was lightened on the occasion. Class X students of Vidyalaya presented song.  Swarnali Dhar Didi (Bengali Teacher of Vidyalaya) spoke on the sacrifice on Bhasa Sahids for the society. Program concluded with shanti mantra.

Rabindra Jayanti Observation

      
      On 9th May 2018 Rabindra Jayanti was observed in vidyalaya in full spirit. Dr Biswatosh Choudhury  (Head of the Bengali Department) of Assam University was present as Chief Guest. He spoke on Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore and his contribution. Various programs were there on the occasion. Rabindra Nritya was performed by Class VIII students. Students of Class V presented Rabindra Sangeet. Dance Drama "Rituranga" was presented by the students. Housewise competition on "Recitation" was there for Class IV and V students. Art  and Craft competition was there for the students of Class VII to IX.  Parents were also invited to attend the program.

Vidyarambha Puja


  On 30th March 2018, Vidyarambha Puja for KG class students was conducted in Vidyalaya. On the occasion Gayatri Parivar was invited to conduct  the Yagna. Pandit Gulabrao Bhapte began the puja with Gayatri Mantra chanting and done the Saraswati Vandana. Total 50 guardian were present in the Yagna along with 38 students. After puja prasad distribution was done.

Matri-Pitri Puja Ceremony


On 25th February 2018, Matri-pitri Puja and Utsarga ceremony was conducted for the students of Class X appearing for the Board Examination. The program started in the morning with Washing the Feet of the parents by the students of Class X. On the occasion Class IX students presented opening song. Puja was done by Sri Kamda Kochiyari Sir of VKV Umrangshu and Utsarga was followed by Class X students. Then the experience of Matri Puja was shared by some of the parents and teachers. Class X students also shared their school experience. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.
