Ganesh Chaturthi Observation


On 12th September 2018, Ganesh Chaturthi was observed in vidyalaya in full spirit. Students presented Ganesh Bhajan. Mitsna Singha and Kavita Dey spoke on the significance of the day. Pawan Chetri Sir of Vidyalaya delivered speech on the occasion and narrated different incidents from the life of Lord Ganesha. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Universal Brotherhood Day and Shankardev Tithi Celebration

 
On 11th September 2018, Universal Brotherhood Day and Shankardev Tithi were celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. On the occasion Dr. Shamita Bhattacharjee (Lecturer of Private college) was present as Chief Guest. She spoke on the contribution of Swami Vivekananda for motherland. Many Programs were there including Speech, Vivek geet, Assemese song, Satriya dance etc. Many competitions were also organised like Vivek geet competitions for Class IX and X, Chicago Speech competition for Class VI and VII, Significance Telling for Class VIII and Story Telling competitions on the life of Swami Vivekananda. Students participated in enthusiastic way.

Janmasthami Celebration



  On 3rd September 2018, Janmasthami was celebrated in vidyalaya in full spirit. Many programs were organized on the occasion. Students of Class IX presented song on the occasion. Drama was presented by Class VI and VII students. Dance Drama on Lord Krishna was presented by students.
Ayushi Roy and Sonia Bhattacharjee spoke on the significance of the day. Dr. Manabendra Choudhury (Professor of Life Science department of Assam University) and Sri Niharendu Dhar (Assistant Registrar of Assam University) were present as guests. Dr Manabendra Bhattacharjee narrated different incidents from life of Swami Vivekananda and motivated students.
   For parents different competitions were organized like Art and Craft display and Homemade Food Items display for mothers. For fathers Pot Breaking competition was conducted. Program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Madhavdev Tithi


On 31st August 2018, Madhavdev Tithi was observed in Vidyalaya. On the occasion many programs were organised. Students of class X presented Assamese song on the occasion. Pujanjali Dasgupta of Class IX spoke on the significance of the day. Smt Diksha Nath, English Teacher of Vidyalaya spoke on Madhavdev and his contribution in the field of Literature, Poem, Songs etc. program concluded with Shanti Mantra.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
