Video coference on Career in Architecture



On 30th Jan 2016, video conference on Career in Architecture was held in Computer Lab of our school. Students had asked many questions like subjects need to be focused to become an Architect, job opportunity in North-East as an Architect etc.

Republic Day


On 26th Jan 2016, the 67th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and dedication in our school. Principal of our school Sri Shasanka Roy unfurled the National Flag and took the salute during Republic Day function held in our school campus. After Flag hosting and salute, there was speech by Sri Partha Narayan Sinha, Asst. Teacher of the school regarding Republic Day and the program was ended with Shanti Mantra.

Netaji Jayanti



On 23rd Jan 2016, Netaji birthday was celebrated in the school. A group of senior student also attended in morning March Past which covered town area of Silchar town. Students were awarded several prizes.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti


Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (National Youth Day) was celebrated in our school on 11th Jan and 12th Jan 2016. The program was celebrated through various cultural events like Dance, Song, Table Lahora etc. by the students of our school.
Other than cultural celebration troops of our student have also participated in March Past from Norsingtola point to Ramakrishna Mission on 12th Jan 2016.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
