One Day Vyaktitva Bikash Shibir



On 29th August 2015, on the occasion of MEJSP Barak Vivag under the co-ordination of VKV Ramnagar Silchar has conducted Pragayan Pratijogita. On the occasion of prize distribution, ‘One Day Vyaktitva Bikash Shibir’ was conducted at Netaji Vidya Bhawan Girls school.


All karya Kartas tied Rakhi to the Teachers of that Vidyalaya. Asst. Registrar of Assam University, Sri Neharendu Dhar and Charter accountant, Sri Pannalal Bakshi were present. Total Participants were 145.

Raksha Bandhan



On 29th August, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan we started our program with mangalacharan. Students of class IV presented a song “Amader bhalo karo ha Bhagawan…” One of the students of class VIII, Km. Prineeka Chanu gave speech. A beautiful song was presented by the students of class VII and VIII “Aai Ra Rakhi Bandhana…” 


Sri Ram Suvog Kairi enlightened the students by imparting valuable knowledge about Raksha Bandhan. After that Rakhis were tied by the students. We end our programme with santi path. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan students went to four different places covering FCI, IOCL, Tarapur Railway Station, UBI, SBI, Fire Brigade, Entertainment Plaza, BSNL, SP Office, DC office, Toyota, JCB, Ramkrishna and Dhar Petrol Pump, ITI, ONGC, Civil Hospital, EPF Office etc to tie Rakhi and spread the message of brotherhood. Total participants were 278.

Eknathji Punyatithi


On 22nd August 2015, on the occasion of Eknathji Punyatithi we started our program with mangalacharan, followed by floral tribute. Students of class VII presented a song “Hum anu yaayi”. One of the students of class VII, Sri Sourav Das gave speech on that topic. We end our program with shanti path. Total participants were 293.

Independence Day

On 15th August 2015, on the occasion of 69th Independence Day we started our program by hosting the tri- colour at 8 a.m. by Smt. Lipika di.


After that we started patriotic song competition for class IX and X followed by slogan with the act of particular freedom fighters for class IV, V and VI. Essay competition was conducted for the students of class VII and VIII.   On this auspicious occasion professor of Physics, Sri Amelendu Bhattacharjee was present and enlightened the children with the knowledge of great cultural heritage of our country. We end our program with shanti path. Total Participants were 502.

Guru Purnima



On 7th August 2015, on the occasion of Guru Purnima we began our program with mangalacharan followed by guru bhajan. One of our students of class-VII, Km. Riya Paul gave speech by highlighting the history and significance about Guru Purnima. After that in different categories Guru Bhajan competition was conducted. We end our program with santi path. Total participants were 289.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
