Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration


  On 11th September 2017, Universal  Brotherhood  Day was celebrated in Vidyalaya in grand manner. Sri Jashabanta Roy (Head of Department of Philosophy, Radhamadhav College) was present as Chief Guest. Program started by the floral tribute to Swamiji’s portrait. Class V students presented the opening song beautifully. Then KG and Class I students presented one action Rhyme. Guru Bhajan was presented by Class I students. Class II students presented one Semi Classical Dance. Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Speech was presented by Class V student Debita Singha. Dance Drama was performed by Class IV and V students. Prajapati dance was performed beautifully by Class II students. Sri Jashabanta Roy sir in his speech explained the words ‘Universal’ and ‘Brotherhood’. He said that Swami Vivekananda stressed on ‘Oneness’ that we all are one, though different but our goal and our main attainment is same. Then Patriotic Dance was presented by Class IV and V students.  Patriotic song was sung by Class II, II and IV students. Program concluded with Shanti Path.

Teacher's Day Celebration


    On 5th September 2017 2017, Teacher’s day is celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. Students of Class X organised the events beautifully. Sri Debasish Das (Former teacher of Norshing Higher Secondary School and renowned Writer) was present as chief guest  to grace the occasion. Opening song was presented by  Class IX students. After that dance performance was there by Class IV and V students.  Mayashree Singha of Class X spoke on the Significance of the day. Classical Dance was presented by selective  students. Class VIII students presented one beautiful Drama depicting the role of teacher in student’s life. Senior students who have taken classes on the special day shared their experiences. Sri Debasish Das sir spoke on how teachers are playing role in moulding the life of students and motivating as well as guiding them.  After that Class X students  presented a melodious song. Program concluded with shantipath.

Ganesh Chaturthi Observation


     On 25th August 2017, Ganesh Chaturthi  was observed in Vidyalaya  in full spirit. Program started by the  Aarti of lord Ganesh  by Seniormost member of VKV Ramnagar, Sri. B. A Naidu. Then Ganesh Vandana  was presented by Class V students. Ruposhree Dey  of Class VIII spoke on the significance of the Day.  Class VII students also presented  Ganesh  Bhajan. Then Sri Subhom Roy (Hindi Teacher of Vidyalaya) delivered speech by narrating different incidents from life of Lord Ganesh. After that floral tribute  was given by all teachers and Class X students of Vidyalaya. Program concluded with Shantipath.

Srimanta Shankardev Tithi Celebration


   On 23rd August 2017 Srimanta Shankardev Tithi was celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. Smt Nivedita Sengupta (Principal of Sangeetanjali Music Academy and Muktashree High School) was present as Chief Guest. Program started by beautiful Ganesh Vandana Dance presentation of Pragati Mallick of Class VII. Class IX students presented ‘Naam’. Significance of the day was narrated by Kavita Dey of Class VII.  Satriya Dance was performed  by  Debolina Das of Class VII. Smt. Nivedita Sengupta Didi spoke on the contribution of Srimanta Shankardev in the field of Assemese Culture. program concluded with Shantipath.

Ma. Eknathji Punyatithi and Madhavdev Tithi Observation


  On 22nd August 2017, Ma. Eknathji Punya Tithi and Madhavdev Tithi was observed in Vidyalaya. Students of Class VI presented a song on the occasion on Ma. Eknathji. Inuangbi Chanu of Class VIII spoke on the significance of the day. Class IX students presented ‘Naam’. Smt  Kathamrita Bhattacharjee (Computer science Teacher of Vidyalaya)  delivered a speech by narrating different incidents from life of Ma. Eknathji and also contribution of Madhavdev in Assemese tradition  to motivate the students.

Janmasthami Celebration


    On 16th August 2017, Janmasthami is celebrated in Vidyalaya in full spirit. Various programs were there. Smt Purobi Chakraborty (Former Lecturer of Women's College) was present there to grace the occasion. She spoke on the message and lessons that we get from Lord Krishna's life to work and be firm on the goal of our life. Students of Class VIII presented the opening Krishna Bhajan. Sarju Singha, student of Class IX spoke on the significance of Krishna Janmasthami. Dance Drama "Kalia Daman" was performed by Class IV and V students.

Principal's Message

VIVEKANANDA KENDRA VIDYALAYA, RAMNAGAR, SILCHAR is an educational project of VIVEKANANDA KENDRA, KANYAKUMARI, Headquarter and Kanyakumari
. The school is running with the objective of "Man Making - Nation Building". VKV Ramnagar, , Silchar was established in the year 2005. The land was donated by late Adhir Chandra Roy, a resident of Ramnaagar area.
The Vidyalaya has co-educational facility. Though English is the Medium of instructions, equal emphasis is also given to Hindi, Bengali and Sanskrit in the curriculum. Besides academic, the Vidyalaya has initiated different activities to help the children develop their inherent faculties. The Vidyalaya is leaving no stone unturned in instilling in the children a sense of righteousness and discipline. The vidyalaya curriculum has given the top most priority in generating a pool of students with high moral values for maintaining love and respect for our rich cultural heritage as well as for serving the society and the motherland as responsible citizen in the long run.
